Meeting called to order by President Ron Karlon at 6:10pm.
Officers and Board Members Present
Ron Karlon, Ron Gaare, Bill Gobin, Tom Champaigne, Dennis Smet, Ed Culhane, Ken Lundberg, and excused John Holter, Marsha Holter and Courtney Johnson.
Minutes of the April meeting approved as read on a motion by Bill Gobin and 2nd Dennis Smet.
Treasure's Report
Ron Gaare reported a beginning balance of $13,481.62, bills paid totaling $477.27, deposits of $1053.50, leaving an ending balance of $13,057.85. Report approved on a motion by Tom Champaigne 2nd Bill Gobin.
Financial Secretary’s Report
Bill Gobin reported that we now have a total of 655 members, picking up about 25 new members at the Midwest Flyfishing Expose, he reported a total of deposits of $1,053.50, report approved on a motion by Ken Lundberg and 2nd Dennis Smet.
Committee Reports
Habitat; Ron Gaare reported that the project on the Sandy Run looks like it is nearly ready to go and that just the signed letters from the land owners is all that is needed, tentative dates for the project were set for weekend of July 28 -29, and August 18-19.
Scholarship; Ken Lundberg was appointed to this committee by President Ron Karlon to fill a vacancy, and Ken reported that there are four very good applicants for the scholarship this year and that the committee with have a decision and report back at the next meeting.
Education: Dennis Smet reported that because of VHS all stocking of fish has been stopped so the aquarium projects are uncertain.
Raffle: Ken Lundberg stated that the ticket sales have been going OK and if anyone needs more tickets to contact him or BillGobin.
Old Business
Discussion of the newsletter with Brad stating that because of time constraints he has not been able to get out a newsletter each month, and now that we have Cathy Khalar also working on the newsletter he will get together with her. Brad also stated that the new web site should come on line this week and it should be a smooth change over. Talk of insurance for the club was tabled at this time.
A motion by Ron Gaare 2nd Bill Gobin to contribute $50.00 to Connie Pribnow for various items for the Family Fun day, passed.
New Business

tems mentioned were a Big Lake Conference being held in Duluth, talk of the club being involved in a learn to fly fish for woman with Brad offering to be involved and this set for sometime in the middle of September, this also to be placed in the newsletter. Some discussion of a handicapped boat so the club can help the handicapped enjoy some fly fishing. It was also mentioned that there is a learn to shot(trapshoot) to be held at the Airport Rd in Iron River on June 23 & 30, this is for youth and the cost is just $5.00.
Brad Bohen stated that he believes he has a very good guest speaker lined up for the June meeting and believes that it could be held at the Winneboujou Club House.
It was noted that there will be a Board of Directors meeting at 5:00pm prior to the regular club meeting on June 25th 2007.
