Meeting called to order by President Ron Karlon at 6:10pm at the Winneboujou Club House.
Officers and Board Members Present
Ron Karlon, John Holter, Marsha Holter, Darrell Thompson, Bill Gobin, Dennis Smet, and Ron Pearson.
Minutes of the May meeting as posted on the web site were approved on a motion by Ron Gaare, 2nd Darrell Thompson.
Treasure's Report
Ron Gaare reported a beginning balance of $13,057.85, total bills paid of $1927.81 leaving an ending balance of $11,457.04. Report accepted and approved on a motion by Dennis Smet 2nd Tom Champaigne.
Financial Secretary’s Report
Bill Gobin reported total deposits of $327.00 for the month this including one new member and 2 renewals. Report accepted and approved on a motion by Darrell Thompson 2nd John Holter.
Committee Reports
Scholarship: John Holter reported that at the Board of Directors meeting just prior to this regular meeting that the Board accepted and approved the Scholarship Committee’s recommendation that we give out two scholarships for this one year and that these scholarships go to Beth Holbrook and Lauren Brathol.
Habitat: Ron Gaare reported that the project on the Sandy Run is set for two Saturdays, July 28th and August 18th, the number of volunteers is going to be limited this year for each date at between 20 and 25. If you want to be one of these lucky volunteers you should contact Ron Gaare at phone #715-363-2534 or email at ifsh4u2c@yahoo.com If you plan on volunteering you should bring waders/hipboots, water and perhaps a quart of bug spray. Coffee and rolls will be served prior to starting at 9:00am at the Brule town park.
Raffle: Ken Lundberg reported that he is still doing the books on the raffle project but at this point we have $1,072.
Old Business
short discussion of a contribution to the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation for the Mackenzie Environmental Center, motion made and approved to contribute $50.00 by Bill Gobin 2nd Ron Karlon.
Bill Gobin reported that the VHS has not been found in Lake Superior or any of it’s tributaries at this time.
