Meeting called to order by Bill Gobin at 6:20pm as President Fjelstad was unable due to his accident.

Minutes of last months meeting approved on a motion by Connie Pribnow 2nd Kay McNeil Saari, with the correction of the ending balance in checking of $6392.12 instead of $6931.73.
Treasure's Report
July ending balance of $6391.12, bills paid of $487.69, and deposits of $254, leaving the ending balance of $6178.35, report approved on a motion by John Holter 2nd Ken Lundberg.
Financial Secretary's Report
Deposits for memberships, renewals, maps and clings of $254.00, approved on a motion by Al Pribnow 2nd Courtney Johnson.
Bill Gobin made a short report to the general membership on our actions at the preceding Board of Directors meeting. A special election for president will be held for the year 2007, for the next three meetings directors, John Holter, Kay McNeil Saari and Ken Lundberg will each run a meeting. The board created, for accounting purposes, a special account just for education. The board also agreed to sell advertisements in the newsletter and on the web site, for $300.00 per year, with the ads to be a business card size. Also a discussion of insurance coverage for the club with Connie Pribnow to bring in information that she expects to get soon. One other topic at the board meeting was the clubs attempt to change the brook trout size limit on the upper river, with Dewey Fjelstad unable to continue this effort, Ron Gaare stated he would contact Damian Wilmot about him pursuing this effort.
Committee Reports
Habitat; Ron Gaare reported that this year it was a tour of three of the past projects and this started at the Town Park and covered three areas we have worked on, the Little Brule, Stones Bridge, and Highway P, it was attended by about 20 and lasted till 3:00pm. Also some discussion of other projects in the coming year.
Education: Dennis Smet reported thanks to John Holter we were able to repair the aquarium cooler for the cost of $56.00 instead of having to purchase a new one.
Ken Lundberg reported that the raffle license has not arrived yet and as soon as it does he will get the raffle started with discussion at next months meeting.
Brad Bohen, newsletter editor, asked about the club buying some software to make his task easier, he will check on the costs.
Ron Pearson reported on the the Challenge Center canoe trip and thanked the volunteers from the club for their efforts and also thanked the DNR and the staff that not only offered their canoes but also spotted the canoes and even carried them down the hill!! The trip was terrific with only one incident in which an unnamed guide and a client from the Challenge Center took a bath on a very nice day in the river at Swiftwater Farms stone wall, no injuries other than pride..
